Obviously I can name more than 10 convertibles which are far, far worse. However the Miata has, IMO, something of an aesthetics issue. It tries to follow the line of classic British roadsters, which I fully approve, but those used plenty of chrome, something which became untrendy circa 1982. The result is that NAs look like they were built for some kind of kids' cartoon show. NBs and NCs are slightly less, erm, "overcute"?
